The PSYO Percussion Ensemble participated in the Arizona chapter of the Percussive Arts Society Day of Percussion at the University of Arizona on April 16.
Students were involved in a full day of percussion shop talk. The ensemble competed in the Solo and Ensemble Competition in the morning performing Christopher Rouse’s Bonham. Congratulations to the ensemble receiving a Superior rating and invitation to also perform again at the Festival Concert later that afternoon, sharing the stage with Chandler Gilbert Community College, the University of Arizona and ASU Percussion Ensembles. It was a terrific day of performances, clinics and concerts. Also congrats to Carson Cole for winning a Zildjian 10″ Splash Cymbal door prize.
