We want to recognize a few of our talented PYSO members who recently received music awards!
- Joshua Lee, Symphony Orchestra – Joshua has won the 2021-2022 MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) State and Southwest Division Competitions. He also recently competed for the “National” MTNA competition (Junior Division), representing the Southwest Division and won 2nd place in that competition. Congratulations, Joshua!
- Jonathan Okseniuk, Symphony Orchestra – Jonathan also won the 2021-2022 MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) State and Southwest Division Competitions. He also competed in the “National” MTNA competition (Senior Division), representing the Southwest Division and won 1st place in that competition. Congratulations, Jonathan!
- Jonathan Okseniuk, Symphony Orchestra – Jonathan also was recently featured in the East Valley Tribune for all his success at competitions this year. Way to go, Jonathan!
- Adam Uliassi, Symphony Orchestra – Adam won 1st place in the Phoenix Brass Collective’s International Young Artist Brass and Percussion competition. He won a cash prize and will be soloing with them next year. Congratulations, Adam!
